KP Government Launches App to Help Flood Victims
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has made available a mobile application for flood damages, which will enable fast compensation with transparency to the flood-affected people.
The same application was formally inaugurated by Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur under the name Digital Disaster Compensation Management. It has been designed by KP Information Technology Board and will remain integrated with the main service delivery platform of the government named Dastak.
This application enables all such families of victims of floods to submit their claims digitally with details of their property damages and ensure receiving their respective compensations.
Geo-tagging will take place to validate the claimed loss so that no fake claim is entertained in this regard fully digitalized therefore paperless and cashless.
A separate dashboard will be presented to the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, and all relevant officers showing real-time updates on damage assessments and disbursements.
Gandapur termed it a giant leap toward efficiency with accountability added, appreciating the IT Board for developing the app in such a short time. He said this would ensure speedy and transparent relief to victims
