Taylor Swift has surprised fans with the announcement of a brand-new single, “Patient Zero,” arriving on September 25, 2026. The singer revealed the news through Instagram after a mysterious countdown on her official website sparked speculation about what she was preparing.
Swift shared a photo of herself wearing a black outfit and told fans she had been “impatiently” waiting to reveal the song. She also confirmed that “Patient Zero” is available for pre-order on her website for 24 hours, with physical collector editions offered alongside the announcement.
The announcement comes after several recent clues from Swift, including unusual use of zeros across her social media and website. Those details led fans to speculate that she was preparing a major music announcement.
For now, Swift has not revealed what “Patient Zero” is about or whether it will be connected to another project. Fans will not have to wait long, however, as the song is scheduled to arrive this Friday, September 25.
