ISLAMABAD: Power is also reported back to 39 grids and 356 feeders in the flooded areas.
The Power Division has claimed significant advances in the recovery of power affecting flood-damaged cities with the majority of grids and feeders restored online as crews work round the clock to restore power to isolated sections.
As per the latest update of the Power Division, electricity has been reinstated in 39 grids and 356 feeders in the flood hit areas. Among these, 152 feeder feeders have already been completed and 202 feeder feeders were temporarily restored to facilitate supply until the situation is better.
Focus on Punjab regions
As it is mentioned in the report, 17 grids and 53 feeders of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) were temporarily restored.
There are still 67 feeders in Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) areas. Authorities assured that clean up measures in these areas will commence as soon as the floods are over.
Tribal districts update
In North Waziristan there are two feeders that have been put back temporarily and recovery is to be complete by September 5. According to the Power Division, field teams are around the clock to reconnect affected households.
The authorities underscored the idea that DISCO teams are stationed throughout the affected areas so as to restore power in the shortest time possible. The Ministry promised citizens that restoration in all flood affected regions will continue to be a priority.
